When buying or selling land, as with any decision that has significant financial and potential lifestyle and personal implications, it is important to have a game plan. At Outdoor Investment Company, our job is to help Alabama land owners and buyers develop and successfully carry out that plan. There are some aspects of any real estate transaction (whether you are buying or selling a home, office building or shopping center, for example) that are similar, but as with other types of real estate, buying or selling land has its own set of challenges and opportunities.

First of all, “land” is a pretty broad term. Let’s define the term as it is used here. The general characteristics of the land we are talking about are:

  • Rural Location - Outside of major metropolitan areas, with relatively low population density
  • Size: 20 acres +
